Description: Erect perennial to c. 40 cm high, ± gland-dotted, glabrous to sparsely pubescent.
Leaves with 2 leaflets, linear, 1–2.5 cm long, 1–2 mm wide, glabrous; petioles 0.5–1.5 cm long; stipules narrow-lanceolate, to 12 mm long, apex ± subulate.
Inflorescences mostly 6–10 cm long; bracts lanceolate to ovate, 10–12 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, sparsely ciliate. Calyx tube to 3.5 mm long. Corolla yellow to orange, 5–10 mm long. Lomentum 10–15 mm long; articles 5 or 6, bristles numerous, shortly hairy.
Flowering: summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in grassland in dry sclerophyll forest; not common, in the Grafton and Bingara districts.
