Xylosma terrae-reginae C.T.White & Sleumer APNI*
Description: Shrub or small tree, minutely pubescent, glabrescent with age, stems with scattered brown lenticels.
Leaves elliptic to oblong, mostly 4–10 cm long (juvenile leaves to 15 cm long), 2.5–5 cm wide; with a pair of small raised glands near the base of the lamina, and 2–6 glands scattered along margins, secondary veins 5–8 pairs.
Flowers in clusters or short racemes; males 8-flowered, females fewer-flowered. Sepals 4 or 5, c. 2 mm long. Disc multilobed. Stamens c. 30.
Fruit globose, 8–10 mm diam., red; seeds 1–4.
Distribution and occurrence: in littoral rainforest north from Broken Head; rare in N.S.W.
