Wolffia globosa (Roxb.) Hartog & Plas APNI*
Description: Herb floating at water surface.
Thallus globose to ovoid, with length of upper emergent surface 1.5–2.3 times breadth; upper surface 0.3–0.7 mm long, 0.2–0.3 mm wide, 0.20–0.6 mm high, whitish green in central parts, intensely green laterally (on 'margins'), flat near apex and convex near base.
Flowering: flowers recorded March.
Distribution and occurrence: recorded growing in irrigation tanks and ponds; north from Penrith district.

Wolffia was formerly placed in Lemnaceae.
