Wolffia angusta Landolt APNI*
Description: Herb floating at water surface; roots absent.
Thallus boat-like, with length of upper emergent surface 1.6–2.5 times breadth; upper surface 0.3–0.8 mm long, 0.2–0.5 mm wide, 0.6–2 mm high, whitish green in central parts, intensely green laterally (on 'margins'), flat and sharply edged laterally.
Flowering: flowers recorded February.
Distribution and occurrence: in freshwater dams and waterholes; south from Maitland area.
NSW subdivisions: NC, CC
Other Australian states: Vic.
Wolffia was formerly placed in Lemnaceae.
