Description: Much-branched small tree 2–5 m high with grey-brown scaly to flaky bark; young shoots silky with fawnish hairs.
Leaves with lamina lanceolate to ovate or narrow-elliptic, rarely ovate, 1.5–2.5 cm long, 0.3–0.7 cm , or rarely to 1 cm wide, apex acuminate, base ± rounded, thick, upper surface glabrous and glossy, lower surface paler and dull; lateral veins obscure, intramarginal vein absent; oil glands small, very dense, conspicuous in young leaves, ± obscure in mature leaves; petiole 2–3 mm long.
Flowers usually solitary in axils, pendent on slender pedicels 4–6 mm long. Hypanthium finely appressed-villous. Petals rounded to obovate, c. 2 mm long, white tinged with pink. Stamens c. 1.5 mm long. Style 3.5–5 mm long.
Berry globose, 4–5 mm diam., green turning red and black at maturity; seeds 2–8.
Flowering: Flowers late spring to summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry rainforest and shrubland; recorded from the McPherson Ra. (Limpinwood N.R.).
