Description: Herb 10–60 cm high, erect, simple or branched, glabrous, somewhat foetid.
Basal leaves petiolate, obovate or oblanceolate, c. 5 cm long, ± toothed; stem leaves reducing, auriculate.
Sepals c. 2 mm long. Petals 3–4 mm long, white. Silicula circular, c. 10 mm diam., valves strongly compressed, winged; wings widening towards apex forming deep notch.
Distribution and occurrence: Weed of waste places. Native of Eur.
