Description: Erect shrub, mostly 0.5–1 m high, hairy with branched ± stellate hairs; branches arising from a woody rootstock.
Leaves not caducous, linear, narrow-elliptic or lanceolate, 5–30 mm long, 2–6 mm wide, margins recurved; sessile.
Flowers sessile, borne towards the end of branches; bracts leafy, 5–15 mm long. Calyx 2–4 mm long. Corolla 2.5–3 mm long, greenish white, glandular and minutely pubescent outside, glabrous within except for the villous throat. Style 1–3 mm long.
Drupe 2.5–4 mm diam., reddish.
Flowering: spring–summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in mallee and Acacia woodland with grassy understorey; north from Condobolin.
