Tetrastigma nitens (F.Muell.) Planch. APNI*
Description: Glabrous woody climber.
Leaves palmately compound; leaflets mostly 3, obovate to broad-elliptic, 4–12 cm long, 2–6 cm wide, apex acuminate to acute, base cuneate, margins coarsely and regularly toothed or teeth sometimes reduced to hard points, glabrous, both surfaces dark green, upper surface glossy; petiole 0–5 cm long, petiolules 2–20 mm long.
Cymes umbel-like, 2–4 cm diam. Calyx 4-lobed. Petals 2–3 mm long, greenish.
Fruit ellipsoid to obovoid, 15–20 mm long, blackish.
Flowering: summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread but usually not common, in subtropical, dry and littoral rainforest, north from Gosford.
