Tephrosia bidwillii Benth. APNI*
Description: Erect subshrub to 40 cm high.
Leaves 8–14 cm long; leaflets mostly 7–11 (3–5 on lower leaves), narrow-elliptic to narrow-lanceolate, 20–70 mm long, 3–7 mm wide, apex acute, upper surface glabrous, lower surface with appressed hairs; petiole 15–30 mm long; stipules subulate, spreading.
Racemes terminal, up to c. 30 cm long. Calyx 4–5 mm long, pubescent; teeth subulate, 2–3 mm long. Corolla c. 10 mm long, pink to pale mauve.
Pod linear, ± compressed, 3–5 cm long, c. 4 mm wide; sparsely to densely hairy. Scattered in sclerophyll forest; not common, north from Kempsey.
