Symphionema paludosum R.Br. APNI*
Description: Herbaceous subshrub with few stems, mostly 30–50 cm, but rarely to 75 cm high.
Leaves 10–30 mm long, usually ternately divided into 3–9 segments; segments of divided leaves and entire leaves usually ± terete, 2–10 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, midvein obscure, glabrous.
Conflorescences spike-like, terminal or in the upper axils, 1–5 cm long. Perianth 4–5 mm long, pale yellow.
Nut oblong, c. 2 mm long.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in swampy heath; discontinuous in coastal areas from Point Plomer (north of Port Macquarie) to the Victorian border, also on the escarpment ranges from Kanangra Tops to the Budawang Ra.
