Swainsona parviflora Benth. APNI*
Description: Procumbent, low-growing perennial; stems sparsely hairy with minute, ± appressed basifixed or sub-basifixed hairs.
Leaves mostly < 5 cm long; leaflets 5–11, narrow-elliptic to narrow-lanceolate or oblong, lateral leaflets equal, mostly 10–25 mm long, 1–2 mm wide, terminal leaflet often much longer, apex acuminate or obtuse, lower surface sparsely pubescent; stipules 1–2 mm long.
Racemes 3–10-flowered; flowers 5–8 mm long. Calyx pubescent, teeth ± equal to tube. Corolla purple; keel apex distinctly acute. Style tip strongly curved or geniculate with a tuft of hairs.
Pod not seen mature; stipe stout, 0.5 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: in well-watered grassland.
