Swainsona fraseri Benth. APNI* 
Description: Perennial to c. 1.5 m high; stems sparsely hairy with scattered minute, ± appressed basifixed hairs.
Leaves mostly 5–10 cm long; leaflets mostly 21–24, elliptic-oblong, the lower 5–15 mm long, 3–6 mm wide, apex truncate or emarginate, lower surface sparsely pubescent; stipules to 5 mm long.
Racemes often > 20-flowered; flowers 10–15 mm long. Calyx sparsely hairy with appressed hairs, teeth shorter than tube. Corolla pink to purple; keel apex obtuse and ± lipped, extended or retracted. Style tip strongly incurved or coiled with a band of hairs.
Pod elliptic, usually 30–40 mm long, glabrous; style c. 4 mm long; stipe c. 4 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: in sheltered sites in open forest.
