Description: Ephemeral herb with mostly 2–10 leaves in a basal rosette or more rarely clustered at the base of scape.
Leaves linear, 2–7 mm long, 0.5–1.5 mm wide, margins entire, lamina glabrous.
Scapes 2–10 cm high, 1-flowered or many-branched and with numerous flowers in an irregular corymb, shortly pedicellate. Sepals c. 2 mm long, much shorter than ovary. Corolla 1–4.5 mm long, inconspicuous, pale pink with white at the centre; petals unequal, paired laterally, the larger in each pair curved and oblong, the smaller ± circular. Column c. 2.5 mm long. Ovary linear, c. 3 mm long, glabrous.
Capsule oblong-linear, 5–8 mm long; seeds brown.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet places that dry out in summer, often beside roads, in creek beds or on margins of swamps; south from Marulan.
