Stellaria graminea L. APNI* 
Description: Slender much-branched herb with angled stems, glabrous.
Leaves cauline, linear-lanceolate to narrow-elliptic, 10–23 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, acute, often ciliate at base; sessile.
Dichasial cyme lax, ³ 10-flowered. Pedicels 7–27 mm long, 4-angled; bracts scarious. Sepals lanceolate, 3–7 mm long, margins scarious. Petals deeply bifid, greater than or equal to the sepals. Stamens 10.
Capsule ovoid, equal to or slightly longer than the calyx; seeds wrinkled.
Flowering: summer.
Distribution and occurrence: An uncommon weed. Native of Europe. Very damp areas on edges of rivers, lakes, swamps.
