Senecio macranthus A.Rich. APNI* 
Description: Erect perennial herb mostly 50–100 cm high, glabrous.
Leaves crowded, linear to lanceolate, 4–12 cm long, 2–15 mm wide, apex long-attenuate, margins entire to regularly toothed, lamina glabrous, base narrowed and petiole-like with tooth-like auricles.
Inflorescence corymbose, heads few; heads broad-campanulate, c. 10 mm diam., glabrous; involucral bracts 18–22, 9–11 mm long; bracteoles 6–12. Ray florets 8–13; ligules 15–25 cm long.
Achenes 4–5 mm long, brown, glabrous; pappus 8–10 mm long.
Flowering: chiefly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in moist gullies in sclerophyll forest; mainly in the ranges from Wollomombi Falls south to Tallong and inland to the Warrumbungle Mtns.
