Description: Perennial herb or shrub, mostly 80–150 cm high, glabrous.
Leaves with lamina narrow-ovate to narrow-elliptic, mostly 5–12 cm long, 10–30 mm wide, apex acute to acuminate, base ± rounded and often asymmetric, margins regularly toothed, lamina glabrous; petiole 5–20 mm long.
Inflorescence corymbose; heads narrow-campanulate, c. 10 mm diam., glabrous; involucral bracts 12–14, 8–10 mm long; bracteoles 7–9. Ray florets usually 4–8; ligules 10–13 mm long.
Achenes 4–6 mm long, glabrous; pappus 8–10 mm long, pinkish.
Flowering: mainly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet sclerophyll forest, often near rainforest or in rainforest regrowth; chiefly on the ranges north from Morisset.
