Description: Hemispherical perennial to c. 40 cm high; branches glabrous to slightly hairy.
Leaves succulent, to c. 10 mm long.
Fruiting perianth c. 2 mm long, attached basally, glabrous; spines 5, spreading, the 3 longest 3–7 mm long, the other 2 fused at the base and 2–4 mm long. Uncommon.
