Description: Fronds clustered, erect, all simple, mostly 10–30 cm long.
Sterile fronds 5–20 cm long, smooth, ± terete or occasionally slightly flattened towards the apex, to 1 mm wide.
Fertile fronds longer than sterile fronds, with the spore-bearing segments very narrow, occupying the last 6–10 mm of the fertile frond when mature.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in various wet habitats, but uncommon.
