Description: Semi-pendent epiphyte, usually with only 1 shoot; stems 0.5–2.5 cm long.
Leaves asymmetrically ovate to oblanceolate to narrow-oblong, 3–9 cm long, 7–12 mm wide, slightly channelled, not spotted.
Inflorescence 2–7 cm long, 3–12-flowered, semi-pendent; rachis usually longer than peduncle; pedicel plus ovary 3–5 mm long. Flowers not, or rarely ± campanulate; dorsiventral dimension of flower about equal to lateral dimension. Sepals and lateral petals elliptic to spathulate, cream blotched with dull purple or purplish red. Labellum c. 1.5 mm long, a fifth to a seventh as long as dorsal sepal, cream blotched with dull purple or purplish red, glabrous. Column c. 1 mm long, about a third as long as column foot, set almost at right angles to it.
Flowering: August–October
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on rainforest trees, from 400 to 600 m alt.; on coastal ranges north from the Richmond R.
