Rutidosis heterogama Philipson APNI* 
Description: Perennial herb, stems decumbent or erect and to 30 cm high from a woody base, ± glabrous.
Leaves alternate, linear, to 3.5 cm long, c. 2 mm wide, margins revolute, lamina scabrous.
Peduncles mostly terminal, unbranched, 3–5 cm long; heads solitary, c. 20 mm diam.; involucral bracts 6–8-seriate, 3–10 mm long, all ± hyaline and ± shiny, outer bracts shortest. Florets mostly bisexual with some outer ones female, 5–7 mm long; corolla yellow, 5-toothed.
Achenes 1–1.5 mm long, tuberculate; pappus scales c. 10, ± elliptic, 1.5–2 mm long, ciliate.
Flowering: chiefly autumn.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows mostly in heath, often along disturbed roadsides; chiefly in coastal districts from Maclean to the Hunter Valley, and inland to Torrington, rare.
