Rumex stenoglottis Rech.f. APNI* 
Description: Perennial 30–50 cm high, stems intricately branched.
Basal and stem leaves short-petiolate; petiole shorter than lamina; lamina soon withering, narrow-oblong, slightly broadened and rounded at base, often somewhat constricted above base, 7–16 cm long, 5–12 mm wide, apex acute; stem leaves few.
Flower whorls 3–5-flowered, all subtended by a leaf.
Fruiting valves 3.5–5 mm long, 1.0–2.5 mm wide, with 1 spreading tooth near base on each side, apex sometimes slightly spreading. Fruiting pedicels slightly thickened, articulate near base.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread on the western slopes and near western plains of NSW. South from Dalby in SE Qld to western Vic. In seasonally wet situations in grasslands and disturbed areas, on clayey soils.
