Description: Spreading annual.
Leaflets distinctly articulate at base, oblong to obovate-cuneate, 10–20 mm long, apex emarginate or rarely entire, petiole winged.
Sepals 5. Petals 5, obovate, 3–4 mm long, usually slightly exceeding the sepals, yellow. Stamens 10; filaments broad-winged in lower half; wings truncate at apex, with 0–3 irregular marginal teeth. Fruiting pedicels 3–5 mm long, reflexed.
Capsule 5-angled, globose to slightly depressed-globose, 5–7 mm long; seeds 1 or 2 per loculus, shining, blackish brown.
Flowering: June–December
Distribution and occurrence: Grows mainly on clay and loamy clay, also on stony red-brown sandy loams; southwest of Mungindi across the Western and Far Western Plains. Also in SW Queensland, South Australia, southern Northern Territory and Western Australia.
