Common name: Southern Whorled Bush-pea
Pultenaea cunninghamii (Benth.) F.Muell. ex H.B.Will. APNI* Description: Erect shrub; stems glabrous to sparsely spreading-hairy.
Leaves mostly opposite or in whorls of 3, ovate to broad-rhomboid, flat, 8–22 mm long, 6–25 mm wide, apex aristate, margins flat to incurved, surfaces concolorous; stipules 1.5–2.5 mm long.
Inflorescences subterminal, lax, leafy; bracts absent. Flowers 8–15 mm long; pedicels 2–5 mm long; bracteoles 2–5 mm long, lacking stipules, linear-ovate, subulate, glabrous, attached to lower part of calyx tube. Calyx 5–8 mm long, glabrous or ciliate; lobes acuminate. Ovary glabrous.
Pod 6–7 mm long, turgid.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll woodland to forest, usually on sandy or stony soils, widespread.

Previously confused with P. spinosa which has a much longer leaf mucro.
