Prostanthera rugosa A.Cunn. ex Benth. APNI* 
Description: Open divaricate shrub 1–1.5 m high, aromatic; branches densely covered with long spreading hairs, at least on young growth, and ± sessile glands.
Leaves often crowded together; lamina narrow-ovate to ovate, 3–9 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, thick and fleshy; apex ± obtuse; base broad-cuneate to rounded; margins with 2 or 3 obtuse lobes on either side, ± recurved; upper surface sparsely to moderately covered with short, ± spreading hairs, lower surface glabrous or moderately covered with long spreading hairs, especially on midvein, lower surface densely glandular; petiole 0.5–2 mm long.
Flowers axillary; bracteoles persistent, < 0.5 mm long. Calyx 4–5 mm long; tube 2–3 mm long; upper lobe 2–3 mm long, enlarged in fruit. Corolla 10–13 mm long, mauve with a white tinge. Anthers with appendage 0.5–0.8 mm long.
Flowering: September–October
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet and dry sclerophyll forest; probably restricted to the Moss Vale district.
