Potentilla supina L. APNI* Synonyms: Potentilla nanopetala A.R.Bean APNI*
Description: Annual or short-lived perennial with flowering stems 10–40 cm long, not rooting.
Leaves pinnate, 1–3 cm long; leaflets 5–11, oblong to obovate, 3–10 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, often deeply lobed, green, sparsely hairy; petiole 10–20 mm long; stipules c. 3 mm long.
Flowers solitary in leaf axils, c. 5 mm diam.; peduncle mostly 10–30 mm long.
Fruit a cluster of achenes enclosed within the calyx and epicalyx, receptacle short.
Flowering: late autumn.
Distribution and occurrence: One record from near Wilcannia, growing on edge of a billabong on the Darling R. flood plain; locally common. Doubtfully native. Native of Eur.
