Potentilla recta L. APNI*
Description: Perennial herb 10–70 cm high, leaves basal and cauline.
Leaves palmate, 5–12 cm long; leaflets 5–7, oblong to oblanceolate, 2–6 cm long, mostly 5–15 mm wide, margins toothed; lamina green or greyish hairy; petiole mostly 3–7 cm long; stipules to 3 cm long.
Flowering stems 10–70 cm high, terminal, densely pubescent. Flowers in many-flowered terminal cymes. Petals 6–12 mm long, longer than sepals.
Aggregate fruit enclosed in epicalyx and calyx.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in cooler areas.
