Portulaca intraterranea J.M.Black APNI* 
Description: Stout prostrate to decumbent annual or sometimes perennial, with stems to 20 cm long.
Axillary hairs inconspicuous, to 1 mm long.
Leaves obovate to oblanceolate, to 20 mm long. Flowers in 3- or 4-flowered heads. Petals 10–17 mm long, twice as long as sepals, yellow. Stamens > 20.
Capsule (without calyx and corolla) 3–5 mm long, operculum c. twice as long as the base, ± conical, constricted above the middle, the uppermost part ± globose; seeds grey-black, testa cells stellate at base and tuberculate, the tubercles nippled or pointed.
Flowering: August–December
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on red sand dunes, north of Broken Hill.
