Description: Slender shrub to 2 m high, young stems with spreading long rusty hairs.
Leaves oblong to ± elliptic, mostly 1–3 cm long, 6–15 mm wide, upper surface hairy, veins scarcely impressed; lower surface sparsely scattered with long hairs, long hairs also prominent on secondary veins and petiole; stipules c. 10 mm long.
Flowers pale yellow, in loose panicles; bracts falling before flowers open. Sepals persistent in fruit. Petals usually present. Hypanthium, sepals and capsule with scattered long whitish to rusty hairs.
Distribution and occurrence: Generally along streams, south from Lake Burragorang; not common in this State. Generally along streams.
