Common name: Plum-leaf Pomaderris
Pomaderris prunifolia Fenzl APNI* Description: Shrub 1–3 m high, stems with rusty stellate hairs.
Leaves ovate to oblong to ± elliptic, 2–4 cm long, 8–15 mm wide, apex broadly acute; margins ± toothed; upper surface very wrinkled, scabrous with simple hairs, rarely ± glabrous; lower surface ± rusty with stellate hairs.
Flowers yellow, shortly pedicellate in short panicles. Sepals not persistent in fruit. Petals absent.
Capsule with long rusty hairs, hypanthium with long whitish hairs.
Distribution and occurrence: On rocky slopes, often along creeks. Mainly south of the Hunter Valley, also at the western extremity of the Nandewar Ra. and Chandler R. gorge; not common.
