Description: Shrub 1–2 m high, stems shortly rusty-tomentose, hairs simple.
Leaves elliptic to obovate, 2–5 cm long, 10–20 mm wide, apex usually rounded to emarginate; upper surface green, finely pubescent with simple hairs, ± velvety; lower surface yellowish to whitish tomentose, hairs not appressed, rarely with a few longer hairs on the veins; secondary and tertiary veins raised and prominent on lower surface; stipules 3–5 mm long, shed early.
Flowers creamish, in short dense panicles. Sepals not persistent in fruit. Petals present.
Capsule not seen; hypanthium and ovary with long simple hairs, sepals with short stellate hairs.
Distribution and occurrence: On rocky slopes, chiefly in the Rylstone – Bylong area, also at Mt Gundangaroo. On rocky slopes.
