Description: Shrub or small tree to 9 m high; new growth densely covered with appressed silvery simple hairs, often coppery-coloured on new growth, older stems glabrescent.
Leaves elliptic to lanceolate or oblong, mostly 3–10 cm long, 10–25 mm wide, apex acute; upper surface glabrous; lower surface silvery to whitish hairy with simple hairs above a fine stellate-tomentum, hairs wavy and ± appressed towards margins, secondary veins raised above surrounding hair layer, fawn-coloured; stipules lanceolate, c. 5 mm long, caducous.
Flowers creamy to pale yellow, in sparse terminal panicles. Petals auriculate, not falling early. Hypanthium and capsule covered with semi-appressed to spreading simple hairs.

Distribution and occurrence: In skeletal sites in tall open forest or rainforest, chiefly on the escarpment ranges, mostly from Kybean to Bemboka area. In skeletal sites in tall open forest or rainforest.
