Pomaderris elliptica Labill. APNI* Description: Shrub 1–4 m high, stems shortly stellate-tomentose.
Leaves mostly ovate to elliptic, 3–12 cm long, 15–40 mm wide, apex often ± obtuse, margins entire to ± finely crenate; upper surface glabrous, lower surface with a fine whitish mat of short stellate hairs.
Flowers yellow, in large corymbose panicles above leaves. Sepals not persistent in fruit. Petals ± auriculate.
Capsule and hypanthium sparsely stellate-hairy, capsule sometimes almost glabrous.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in open forest on the coast and tablelands south from Taree, and west to Rylstone.
