Description: Shrub 1–2 m high, stems with a short whitish stellate tomentum.
Leaves elliptic, mostly 1.5–3 cm long, 10–15 mm wide, apex obtuse to emarginate; upper surface ± bristly, hairs scattered to very sparse, at least some hairs stellate; lower surface a fine white mat of loose stellate hairs; secondary veins impressed above, strongly raised on lower surface.
Flowers creamish, in short leafy panicles. Petals absent. Hypanthium, sepals and ovary with long simple whitish hairs.

Distribution and occurrence: Rare, south from Mittagong district. In dry sclophyll forest, often on skeletal soil.
