Description: Spreading shrub, mostly 1–3 m high; new growth and young stems covered with fawn to golden simple hairs.
Leaves mostly ovate to broad-ovate or elliptic, 2–5 cm long, 10–20 mm wide, apex mostly obtuse; upper surface glabrous; lower surface whitish tomentose, hairs curly, simple and mostly lying in the same direction; secondary veins pale brown, regularly arranged and protruding above the hairy layer between the veins; tertiary veins usually not apparent.
Flowers white, in dense pyramidal panicles. Petals absent. Hypanthium and capsule with longer simple hairs over stellate hairs.

Distribution and occurrence: In open forest, chiefly on the escarpment ranges south of Moruya and Mt Imlay, also the Mt Royal Ra.; rare in this State. In open forest.
