Description: Perennial herb, pubescent or sometimes glabrescent; stems procumbent or erect, to 10 cm long.
Leaves linear, 4–10 mm long and c. 1 mm wide, apex mucronate or aristate; stipules 3–4 mm long, apex mucronate or aristate.
Inflorescence leafy; bracts 3–4 mm long with definite midrib; pedicels hairy. Sepals 3–4 mm long, all white or occasionally yellowish and slightly thickened at base, without a midrib. Petals c. 1 mm long. Stamens c. 0.5 mm long.
Capsule 1.5–2 mm long. Herb of arid regions.
