Description: Tree to 40 m high.
Leaves elliptic to obovate, 9–20 cm long, 3–6 cm wide, apex rounded or shortly pointed, base rounded, lamina thick and glabrous, upper surface dull, lower surface glossy, fine venation distinct below but not prominently raised; petiole 15–30 mm long.
Flowers few-numerous, in axillary clusters.
Fruit obovoid, 10–20 mm long, black, mostly 1-seeded; ripe Aug.-Dec.
Distribution and occurrence: Growing in littoral and dry rainforest, north from the Brunswick River in the north coast of NSW; not widespread.
