Plectranthus verticillatus (L.f.) Druce APNI* 
Description: Pleasantly aromatic, soft, perennial herb to c. 25 cm high, semi-succulent; branches prostrate to ascending, rooting at nodes, ± glabrous to shortly and minutely hairy; hairs antrorse, multicelled, usually with red sessile glands.
Leaves with lamina ovate to ± circular, 1.6–4 cm long, 1.2–4 cm wide; apex acute to rounded; base truncate to cuneate; margins crenate-toothed to shallowly crenate, with 3–6 pairs of teeth; thin-textured, both surfaces ± glabrous to minutely hairy, more densely hairy on veins below, with conspicuous red to brown sessile glands on lower surface; petiole 0.6–3 cm long.
Calyx c. 2.5 mm long, to 7 mm long in fruit. Corolla c. 10 mm long, white to pale mauve with a few mauve spots on the upper lip or freely speckled with purple; tube slightly decurved; lobes with scattered sessile glands.
Flowering: throughout year.
Distribution and occurrence: Habitat information unknown; naturalized in the Kariong district. Native of SE Afr.
