Pimelea trichostachya Lindl. APNI* 
Description: Slender shrub to 75 cm high, herbaceous but woody at the base; stems hairy.
Leaves mostly alternate, narrow-elliptic, 5–15 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, glabrous or very sparsely hairy.
Flowers in racemes, elongating, to 3–11 c. at maturity; peduncles up to 20 mm long at maturity, glabrous or sparsely hairy. Bracts absent. Flowers bisexual, c. 5 mm long, yellow, densely covered with long spreading hairs.
Fruit c. 3 mm long, green with purplish tinge. Toxic to stock.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread in drier areas on sandy soils over clays.
