Description: Shrub to c. 2 m high, but often less than 1 m, branchlets angular; glabrous.
Leaves ovate to lanceolate, mostly 8–40 mm long, 4–15 mm wide, minutely crenate.
Flowers solitary or a few together, peduncles c. 3 mm long, lengthening to c. 10 mm long in fruit. Female perianth segments herbaceous with white margins, to c. 3 mm long in fruit, male segments petaloid, ± shorter. Stamens 3; filaments free, glands conspicuous. Styles 3, slender, divided to c. midway.
Capsule globose, glabrous, c. 6 mm diam.; seeds 2–2.5 mm long, slightly striate longitudinally.
Flowering: mainly summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry rainforest or eucalypt woodland in rocky places.
