Persoonia myrtilloides Sieber ex Schult. & Schult.f. APNI* Description: Erect to spreading shrub, young branchlets moderately hairy.
Leaves narrow- to broad-elliptic or lanceolate to broad-ovate, 1.2–4.5 cm long, 4–30 mm wide, flat, with slightly recurved margins, sometimes slightly incurved, sparsely to moderately hairy when young, glabrescent when mature, smooth to moderately scabrous.
Inflorescences growing on into a leafy shoot; flowers subtended by scale leaves or leaves; pedicels 2–10 mm long, spreading to recurved, sparsely to moderately hairy. Tepals 9–12 mm long, prominently caudate with recurved to reflexed tips, sparsely to moderately hairy. Ovary glabrous.
Distribution and occurrence: in heath to dry sclerophyll forest on sandstone, from Goulburn R. to Wentworth Falls.
NSW subdivisions: CT, CWS
Subsp. myrtilloides occasionally hybridizes with P. acerosa, P. levis and P. recedens where they grow together.
