Description: Erect to decumbent shrub, young branchlets moderately to densely hairy.
Leaves alternate or opposite, narrow-elliptic to elliptic or ovate, 3–9 cm long, 13–30 mm wide, flat, with recurved margins, sparsely to moderately hairy when young, glabrescent or sparsely hairy when mature.
Inflorescences terminated by a dormant bud; flowers subtended by scale leaves; pedicels 1–2 mm long, erect, densely hairy. Tepals 12–14 mm long, apiculate, densely hairy. Ovary glabrous.
Distribution and occurrence: in woodland to wet sclerophyll forest; coastal districts south from Eden and in ranges south from Kosciusko district.
