Peplidium foecundum W.R.Barker APNI* Synonyms: Peplidium sp. D sensu Barker (1981) APNI*
Description: Prostrate ?annual, non-glandular pubescent, with branches to c. 20 cm long.
Leaves fleshy, lamina ovate to elliptic or spathulate, usually 3–10 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, apex obtuse; petiole 1–3 mm long.
Inflorescence a raceme, the flowers single in bract axils; pedicel 0–2 mm long. Calyx 2–3 mm long. Corolla obscure, 3–4 mm long, pale blue to possibly white, with the lower side of the mouth yellow-green with no obvious palate; lips very short. Stamens 2.
Capsule ovoid to ± globose, 3–4.5 mm long.
Flowering: chiefly spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in and beside ephemeral pools, in swamps, claypans or swales; west from the Wanaaring district.
