Common name: Blunt-leaved Passionfruit
Passiflora aurantia G.Forst. APNI* Description: Small glabrous twiner.
Leaves 3-lobed, lamina usually 2–5 cm long, sometimes to 8 cm long, lobes broad and shallow, rounded; petiole 1–3 cm long, usually with 2 glands near apex; stipules c. 1 mm long or absent.
Flowers c. 5 cm diam., creamy-white turning pink and red with age.
Berry ellipsoid, c. 30 mm long, purplish.
Distribution and occurrence: Chiefly in warm rainforest north from Ballina, also recorded from near Gravesend; not common.
