Oxalis incarnata L. APNI* 
Description: Herb with stem erect, 5–25 cm long, branching; rhizome 3–8 cm long; bulbs ovoid, c. 1.5 cm long, pointed, outer surface brown; bulbils formed on rhizome and in leaf axils.
Leaves numerous, mostly crowded at end of branches, 4–10 in pseudowhorls, 3-foliolate; leaflets obcordate, bilobed, sinus about a quarter the length of leaflet; lobes oblong, 7–10 mm long, 5–9 mm wide, with lobe apices rounded and 7–8 mm apart; petiole 1–5 cm long; stipules tapering into petiole.
Inflorescences 1-flowered. Petals 14–22 mm long, ± white, very pale mauve or pale pinkish purple, greenish at base.
Fruit not known in Aust.
Flowering: chiefly August–January, also to May.
Distribution and occurrence: Probably a garden escape, a weed of gardens and roadsides; south from the Sydney region. Native of S Afr.
