Olearia oppositifolia (F.Muell.) Lander APNI* 
Description: Shrub to 2.3 m high.
Leaves opposite or sometimes in whorls of 3, scattered; lamina ovate or elliptic, 14–110 mm long, 6–39 mm wide; apex acute or rounded, finely mucronate; margins toothed or sinuous or entire, weakly revolute; surfaces discolorous, upper surface glabrous or subglabrous, lower surface minutely grey-tomentose; venation reticulate; petiole to 12 mm long.
Heads terminal, in simple corymbs, pedunculate, 19–23 mm diam.; peduncle to 50 mm long. Ray florets 4–6, white. Disc florets 6–11, yellow.
Achenes glabrous or subglabrous; pappus with 44–74 bristles in 2 series.
Flowering: November–January
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet and dry sclerophyll forest and on margins of cool-temperate rainforest; on the escarpment ranges, from the Border Ranges to Barrington Tops N.P.
