Olearia cydoniifolia (DC.) Benth. APNI*
Description: Shrub to 4 m high.
Leaves alternate, scattered; lamina elliptic, 20–114 mm long, 9–53 mm wide; apex acute or rounded, finely mucronate; margins entire, flat; surfaces discolorous, upper surface glabrous, lower surface silver-felted; venation pinnate; petiole to 17 mm long.
Heads terminal, in simple corymbs, pedunculate, 15–21 mm diam.; peduncle to 15 mm long. Ray florets 6–10, white. Disc florets 13–17, yellow.
Achenes silky; pappus with 40–44 bristles in 2 series.
Flowering: October–November
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sclerophyll forest and on margins of dry rainforest; chiefly on eastern escarpment and gorges from Apsley R. to the Guyra district, also recorded from the Clarence R.
