Oldenlandia subulata Korth. APNI* Description: Sprawling or ascending annual herbs, sparingly branched; branclets glabrous or sparsely to moderately papillose, often rooting at nodes.
Leaves sessile, linear, 20–55 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, glabrous or with minute scabrous hairs on upper surface; base attenuate; apex attenuate.
Flowers axillary, solitary, very rarely paired or in lax terminal cymes; pedicels slender,6–25 mm long, papilose. Calyx 1–2 mm diameter; lobes triangular to narrowly ovate, 1–2.5 mm long, keeled, scabridulous on margin. Corolla white or rarely blue, glabrous inside and out; tube 1.5–3.5 mm long; lobes oblong, 1.5–3.5 mm long. Stamens and style exserted from corolla tube.
Capsule subglobose, 2.5–3.5 mm long and wide, not markedly furrowed; 'beak' included in persistent calyx lobes. Seeds many, obconical; surface reticulate-areolate.
Distribution and occurrence: In NSW, only known from the far North Coast. Also in Queensland, from Cape York Peninsula to South East Queensland.
