Description: Sprawling, prostrate or ascending, diffuse annual herbs, much-branched; branchlets slender, glabrous, rarely minutely scabrous or tuberculate, often rooting at nodes.
Leaves linear to narrow-elliptic, (5-)10–30 mm long, (0.2-)0.5–3 mm wide, glabrous or sparsely minutely scabrous; base attenuate; apex acute; margins slightly revolute at least when dry.
Flowers solitary in leaf axils, or if more than one then with the rudiments of a branchlet between them; pedicels very slender, 3–17 mm long, minutely tuberculate. Calyx 0.7–0.9 mm diameter; lobes triangular, 0.8–1.5 mm long. Corolla white,glabrous inside and out; tube 0.7–1.5 mm long; lobes 0.5–1 mm long. Stamens subsessile in sinuses between corolla lobes. Stigma slightly exserted from corolla tube
Capsule ovoid or ovoid-globose, 1.5–3 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, furrowed; 'beak' included in persistent calyx lobes. Seeds many, obconical; surface reticulate-areolate.
Flowering: January–May.
Distribution and occurrence: Rare in NSW, recorded only from the Gunderbooka Mtns south of Bourke and Cuttabri on the North West Plains, and the far North Coast.
