Description: Erect shrub to c. 2 m high; branches terete, ± striate, glabrous or minutely papillose.
Leaves distichous, linear to oblong or narrow-elliptic, mostly 3–10 mm long and 1–2 mm wide or rarely some larger on main branches, apex obtuse to acute and often mucronate or hooked, yellowish, ± folded longitudinally, sessile.
Flowers solitary, bisexual; peduncle c. 1.5 mm long. Calyx minute. Petals 5, free or fused, 3–6 mm long, white to yellowish. Stamens c. 1.5 mm long; staminodes c. 2 mm long, simple.
Drupe obovoid to ellipsoid, 4–8 mm long, c. 5 mm wide.
Flowering: throughout year.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll forest, woodland and heath, mostly on sandstone and granite, also in shrubland on coastal dunes; widespread, not common.
