Notelaea linearis Benth. APNI*
Description: Shrub 1–2 m high; branchlets ± glabrous or minutely pubescent when young; axillary buds usually solitary, pointed, minutely pubescent.
Leaves linear to very narrow-elliptic, or rarely narrow-lanceolate, usually 2–7 cm long, 12–7 mm wide, apex acute, base narrowed into petiole, margins entire, lamina glabrous, punctate especially on lower surface, venation obscure; petiole 1–4 mm long.
Inflorescences axillary, 4–10 mm long, c. 5-flowered, glabrous to minutely pubescent. Calyx 0.5–1 mm long. Petals c. 2 mm long, pale yellow. Stamens c. 1.5 mm long.
Drupe ovoid, 5–7 mm long, 4–5 mm diam., white or blue.
Flowering: spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath scrub and dry sclerophyll forest, usually on granite; north from Guyra and Emmaville districts.
